Positive Technology App is the first mobile application (iPad 2/New iPad and iPhone 4/5) worldwide that integrates a 3D Virtual Reality environment with a mobile biofeedback technology to help users in managing and coping with daily psychological stress. Within an engaging Virtual Reality Island, the user has the chance to learn and practice effective relaxation techniques. Specifically, Positive Technology App exploits also the incredible progress in the field of wearable low-cost biosensors (it uses a commercial sensor with Bluetooth 4 like Polar (tm) that costs less than 100 US$/70 EURO - or Mio Alpha watch - that costs about 200 US$) to allow an effective psychological interventions in daily situations. Practically, it is possible to use a mobile Heart Rate Biofeedback Training aimed to help individuals in managing and coping with psychological stress. By using relaxation strategies and by controlling the respiration rate, variations in the Heart Rate indexes controls the features of the virtual environment, like the increase or the decrease of the size of a virtual campfire and of a virtual waterfall. You can get the App for free, thanks to the European Funded project INTERSTRESS (www.interstress.eu). The biosensors are NOT included. The App requires an iPad2 (or better). The App has been tested and works with both iOS 6 and iOS7.
